17 January "Sant Antoni Abad"
The festival in honor of "San Antonio Abad", patron saint of animals, is deeply rooted in Peniscola. Over the weekend a parade of carriages decorated for the occasion, in which peasants and "peñiscolanos" bless their animals is organized.
Later, in the Church of Santa Maria de Peniscola, a Mass was officiated and after the traditional division of Muscat and typical donuts attendees is done, all blessed by the priest of Peniscola. At night bonfires, where every visitor can participate in the big party and enjoy typical products of the City in the Sea cooked grilled light.
27 April "La Romería de Sant Antoni"
''La romeria de la Ermita de Sant Antoni'' brings together all citizens of Peníscola, and they invite all visitors to enjoy a day of devotion, fun, dance and cusine. In the chapel, located 5km from the center of the city in the sea, paella is offered to all attendees. The party is assured until sunset.
