Peñiscola; City in the sea

Peñíscola bathed by the sea Mediterranean and placed in full fertile land, enjoys a wide gastronomic diversity that they make it be only as for sensory experiences.

The tourism in Peñiscola is abundant in summer. Principally families and major persons are in the habit of coming. The most visited places are Peñiscola's Castle, the Serra of irta and his precious beaches.

The places most visited of the Castillo del Papa Luna is the Ermitorio de la Virgen de la Ermitana, el Faro, la Casa de las Conchas and el Bufador.

Inside the castle we can find two museums, the museum " Del Mar " and the Casa-Museo” La Casa del Ayer”  ". To the castle we can accede for three different doors " The Portal Fosc ", it carries it of "Santa Maria" and that of "Sant Pere". Another site, the Nature reserve of The Serra d'Irta, placed in the end of the Valencian Community.
The historical absence of human accessions of importance and the progressive abandon of the agricultural and cattle exploitation that for centuries he has supported, allow the presence of natural values. The visitors can enjoy excursions guides that it will lead them to knowing the nature estimating all his characteristics.

In Peñiscola's central part we can find two beaches, the most important two, the placed one in the North and another beach it is placed in the South. The beach North with the Castle of bottom has five kilometres of thin sand that turn her into the principal beach of the municipality.

In our opinion Peñiscola it is a great city in which to enjoy your family of all his activities orientated so much to the physical development as to the development of environmental knowledge. He has zones of infantile games in which the children can play, excellent restaurants in that to eat and to savour the exquisite delicacies of the Mediterranean and all kinds of housings.
