The Castle of Peñiscola

   

THE CASTLE OF PEÑISCOLA

The Castle of Peñíscola is in the highest zone of the wall of rock of Peñíscola.

This castle reaches 64m on the level of the sea.

It was constructed by the templars of solid form.

The Castle is surround by "Las murallas", and in an entry it has "el Portal Fosc".

With in the Castle, we find "la Ermita de la Virgen de la Ermitana".

Also there is "el Bufador", a great gap between the rocks.

  The Castle of Peñiscola is very important because it projected the people of the village, and since it is very nice and attracts the tourists. It helps  the economy of the village.

   I think that Peñiscola is one village very quiet and nice, with more activities of make: sport, go shopping, go to the beach...

  I think too that The Castle is the monument most important of Peñiscola.
